(I've corrected it.) Yes, I wish I had liked it more as well, since I'd had it on my list for so long! Thank you for the clarification about it's genre. I can't remember where I gotten the wrong impression about it. In any case, I probably would have liked it more going into it if I had known it was more historical fiction than historical romance. Thanks for reading my humble review and I appreciate your taking the time to comment.Julie at Outlandish Dreaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16595989966510183531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4781006155885226657.post-12367188645718992252010-02-22T14:26:54.634-05:002010-02-22T14:26:54.634-05:00Hi Julie,

I don't consider the story historical romance, nor did I set out to write that genre. I promote The Scottish Thistle as historical fiction intertwined with a love story and the historical side of the tale takes precedence. BTW, my hero's name is Duncan, though, not William.Cindy Vallarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07384766046352489256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4781006155885226657.post-21070139290535446262010-01-31T09:00:48.229-05:002010-01-31T09:00:48.229-05:00Muse - yes, it does stink, but at least I didn'...Muse - yes, it does stink, but at least I didn't pay $9.99 for it (while that's still the going price at Amazon amidst this latest broohaha going on over there with Macmillan). I'm reading some good books now, but they're taking a long time, but I am enjoying them at least!Julie at Outlandish Dreaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16595989966510183531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4781006155885226657.post-69852264866338307882010-01-30T23:07:21.972-05:002010-01-30T23:07:21.972-05:00Well that stinks. (But, it still bugs me that I bought that other horrible Dark Prince book on Kindle that I want to delete!) When will I learn that I should not impulse buy on Kindle! It's too dangerous! I know what you mean, I often feel the same way if my DH has been away, but in this book, they didn't have much to start with before he went away!Julie at Outlandish Dreaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16595989966510183531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4781006155885226657.post-3548970171198160932010-01-30T22:08:06.080-05:002010-01-30T22:08:06.080-05:00Oh dear....hope you didn't have to pay too muc...Oh dear....hope you didn't have to pay too much for it on Kindle! Sounds like you were expecting something entirely different than what you got....I know the feeling. grrr. For what it's worth, though, I can testify that I sometimes love my husband a LOT more when he's gone, LOL. Hope that makes Rory more believable for you, HA.Michelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04873109350235219509noreply@blogger.com
